  1. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the screw from the bottom.
  2. Unscrew the screw on the right side of the steering wheel.
  3. Unscrew the screw on the left side of the steering wheel.
  4. Remove the upper gauge cover.
  5. Remove the lower cover of the steering column.
  6. Unscrew the breakaway screws by striking them with a flat screwdriver.
  7. Version when the key no longer turns the ignition switch:
    • Insert a Torx T10 screwdriver into the hole left by the breakaway screw.
    • Punch out the locking pin from bottom to top until it completely pops out of the housing.
    • Remove the ignition switch.
  8. Version when the key still turns the ignition switch:
    • Insert the key into the ignition switch and turn it to the first position.
    • From above, press the locking pin with a screwdriver and pull out the ignition switch.
  9. Disconnect the power connector and the immobilizer connector.
