- Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the screw from the bottom.
- Unscrew the screw on the right side of the steering wheel.
- Unscrew the screw on the left side of the steering wheel.
- Remove the upper gauge cover.
- Remove the lower cover of the steering column.
- Unscrew the breakaway screws by striking them with a flat screwdriver.
- Version when the key no longer turns the ignition switch:
- Insert a Torx T10 screwdriver into the hole left by the breakaway screw.
- Punch out the locking pin from bottom to top until it completely pops out of the housing.
- Remove the ignition switch.
- Version when the key still turns the ignition switch:
- Insert the key into the ignition switch and turn it to the first position.
- From above, press the locking pin with a screwdriver and pull out the ignition switch.
- Disconnect the power connector and the immobilizer connector.
